In 2003, we made forays overseas. In 2011, we developed our business in Beijing, China, followed by Shanghai, Chengdu and Nantong. We have operated nursing care facilities and provided Japanese-style care services for elderly people in these countries.
In 2014, we launched our consulting service in China and have been developing life support services, including meals and nursing care, by using nursing care as a gateway into the Asian markets.

In May 2011, we established fully-owned subsidiary Riei (Beijing) Co., Ltd. in China. In October 2012, the “Riei Elderly Nursing Center” was opened in Haidian district, Beijing. This is a small-scale multi-functional facility also responsible for “showroom”, “information dissemination”, and “caregiver OJT”. Our work has earned the recognition of local authority as this center was named the designated nursing facility for Haidian district in January 2015.
Shanghai, China A nursing type retirement home with a capacity of 300 beds that provides Japanese style elderly care and hospitality.
In December 2013, we opened the Shanghai Riei Nursing Home, a residential facility for senior citizens, as a joint venture with a leading corporation in Shanghai, China. This facility is run on a the basis of a revenue-generating business model targeting local tenants from the upper middle class. The facility grounds are approximately 20,000 m2 in area and contain a spacious garden, four residential buildings and separate cottages. Its resort-like living environment and Japanese style care service have captured the attention of both Chinese and Japanese media.
Chengdu, China
We established a subsidiary in Chengdu as a joint venture with a local corporation in August 2015. The very first MC style nursing facility in Chengdu is now in preparation. (Scheduled to open in October 2016)
